Submission Guidelines

Please mail all your submissions to [email protected] with the subject “Submission for PULER Blog”, only in a Microsoft Office Word-compatible format (.doc or .docx). Please include a short summary (1-2 lines) of the article in the email.

Word limit & style

• The blog post must be an original and unpublished work of the author(s). Plagiarism will not be tolerated. The blog posts must be analytical and may be composed in the form of commentaries, opinions, perspectives, recommendations, or reviews. Blog posts should relate to any theme related to laws, policies, or the legislative framework around education with a special emphasis on the relationship between education and rehabilitation.

• We prefer posts that do not exceed 1,500 words in length.

• Wherever the article refers to any source, appropriate links must be provided in the main text itself. Remember to use those links which can be accessed by everyone which means that articles/journals or any other resource behind a paywall should not be hyperlinked.

• If no online sources are available, footnotes may be used. However, footnotes must be kept to the minimum and conform to the most recent edition of A Uniform System of Citation. For example, Standard Indian Legal Citation (SILC), which is an India-centric citation system, can be used by the authors. (here)

• If there are any particularly interesting articles that would benefit the readers, please include them as „recommended readings‟ at the end of the posts.

• Quotations from other works should be incorporated into the text, within single quotation marks, if they are up to three lines. Quotations longer than three lines should be included in an indented paragraph. Learn about double-indenting a quote here. Keep it 0.5″ on both sides.
